SSA: UHSNET initiated partnership with Life shelter- a private company promoting a new housing technology in the community with the aim to improve access to better housing for Ugandans all over the country. This morning, the Life shelter’s smart housing solution was launched by the Ambassador of Denmark HE Nicolaj A. Hejberg Petersen  in a unique setting in Namuwongo informal settlement. The houses are characterized by being affordable, fast to build (1 week) and eco-friendly.
One demo house was constructed and it is getting very positive feedback from the local community. The solution was presented to policy makers, NGO’s working with the housing challenge and potential customers.
