During 2020 SSA:UHSNET together with other partners conducted a Land Awareness Campaign in different regions including Central region with partners- Uganda Housing Cooperative Union and Mukono Multipurpose Youth Organization, In Northern Uganda with Partners West Acholi Cooperative Union, In West Nile with partners Okoro Coffee Growers Union and in South Western Uganda with Semuliki and Mount Rwenzori cooperatives. the aim was to document the land claims of women belonging to the cooperatives and conduct an awareness of the existing legal framework and the rights of women to own land.

The outcomes of the campaign led to increased awareness of the different laws related to land, created linkages for the vulnerable communities to legal aid service providers to help them get redress and opened a window for dialogue among the disgruntled parties.
