SSA participated in the launch of the very first National Physical Development Plan of the country. The plan aims to coordinate and integrate the spatial dimensions of sectoral policies through territorial based strategy. This is an important objective of spatial planning at national level to be able to achieve spatial integration and decrease differences between urban areas or regional growth poles with economic vitality and those that are static or declining like peripheral rural areas.
