The network Land and Housing Working group reviewed the Ministerial Policy Statement of Vote 12 and developed a position paper highlighting gaps which included;

• Low funding to the housing sector
• Increasing housing deficit
• Low levels of dissemination of the National Housing Policy
• Limited skills among artisans
• Need to fast track cities law among others.

The network also proposed recommendations to ensure the aspirations of the third national development plan are realized by the Ministry. The position paper will be presented to the physical infrastructure committee of parliament.
