Paralegals Refresher Training

Our Paralegals Refresher Training in Entebbe, Kamuli, Kayunga, and Mityana provided comprehensive education on fundamental human rights, land rights, the law of succession and amendments, inheritance, and more. Participants, including community leaders, police officers, and development officers, engage in interactive sessions to enhance their knowledge and skills. The training covers crucial topics such as marriage, will writing, choosing an administrator, and land tenure systems, enabling paralegals to support and educate their communities with accurate legal information effectively.
Marriage, will writing, choosing an administrator, and land tenure systems were particularly engaging topics for the participants. These issues are highly relevant as they regularly encounter them in the cases they handle and within their own families.
One of our Kamuli paralegals said: “I have learned how legal marriage gives you the right to your partner’s property after his or her death. I have learned the land tenure systems and the procedure of acquiring a certificate of customary ownership (CCO). These things will help me teach the people in my community and provide correct information.”
The training provided practical solutions and knowledge that participants can apply both professionally and personally. Empowered with this expertise, our team is ready to support the community.
