During the reporting period SSA: UHSNET in collaboration with Uganda Housing Cooperative Union (UHOCU) introduced, mobilize and promoted the concept of housing cooperatives in the different community groups in Masaka municipality with the aim to encourage them to understand and start saving money for housing through cooperatives.

This activity increased the network’s visibility in Masaka municipality and also provided a platform for community groups to learn about housing cooperatives and their advantages. The activity also acted as an entry point for the network to engage with officials from Masaka municipality to jointly promote the housing cooperative concept.
