The network conducted a community debate in Luwero about waste disposal and garbage management. It was realized that the situation in Luwero is appalling and so the residents called upon the authorities of the town council to come up with waste management strategies to address the challenges of poor solid waste management in the municipality.

As a result of the debate, the mayor pledged to continue seeking support from different partners to come and offer support to the town council in form of garbage trucks.

KEHO also pledged to take on waste is wealth campaign by sensitizing the community on household garbage sorting which in the end will increase their wealth as well as reduce the garbage in the town council.
