SSA participated in the launch of the research report Greater Expectations: Why Ugandans leave their villages to settle in Greater Kampala metropolitan area. the report highlights reasons why people move and these included due to lack of services in their areas and also in search of greater opportunities in Greater Kampala. The recommendation included building the capacity of the new cities and investing in them to be able to serve their residents with all services and opportunities. this could be done through inclusive planning and implementation of the existing laws. The Research was conducted by our partner Friendrich Ebert Stiftung and the report was Launched by the Lord Mayor of Kampala His Lordship Elias Lukwago.
